Event Details:

Death Café is a social movement that seeks to “increase awareness of death

with a view to help people make the most of their (finite) lives.” It consists

of group-directed discussions about death with no set agenda, objectives,

or themes. While not a grief support or counselling session, Death Cafés

offer a space where the often scary and taboo—yet universally relevant—

topic of death can be explored in a respectful and confidential setting,

free from judgment or spiritual and philosophical agendas.

The Death Café program is not only a space for open conversations

about death and dying, but also a platform that encourages

intercultural and intergenerational exchange. It aims to provide

the Milton community with opportunities to learn from diverse

experiences and perspectives, fostering empathy across cultures and generations.

This is a free event, open to all individuals aged 16 and up.

Enjoy complimentary coffee, tea, cookies, and light snacks as we

gather in a welcoming space for meaningful conversation.

Together, we’ll explore the often-unspoken topic of death through open,

respectful dialogue—nourishing both body and mind while learning from

the diverse perspectives that shape our understanding of death and living.
